Lead Applications Systems Analyst

The Senior Applications Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in collaborating with various departments while independently addressing software and system analysis challenges through established methodologies. This position requires a high level of integrity, creativity, and expertise in systems analysis to meet the organization's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Epic Business Systems - Hospital Billing Team
Under the guidance of the Manager, the analyst will work closely with multiple departments and independently tackle software and system analysis tasks using proven techniques. This role involves the development and maintenance of the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) application, along with providing technical assistance to billing and financial operations teams and other end-users. The analyst will also cultivate the necessary skills to support the Epic Professional Billing (PB) application and assist in the implementation of various information system projects across all billing operations. Collaboration with the Manager to create work plans and support the recruitment and development of junior team members is essential. Candidates with Epic Hospital Billing/Single Billing Office (HB/SBO) certification are preferred, while HB Claims/Remits certification is advantageous.
Successful analysts can articulate system design concepts and issue investigations without direct reference to the system or documentation, making complex technology comprehensible to others, including peers in different IS roles, end users, and organizational leaders.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Availability for evening, weekend, or on-call hours may be required based on departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and possessing robust organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening abilities to effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to make independent decisions while working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capable of managing varying workloads while adhering to deadlines.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- No specific licensure or certifications required.
