Position Summary

The Systems Application Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and facilitating the creation and enhancement of systems. This position is responsible for managing specific projects and coordinating programming resources across various applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as a liaison between Information Systems teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective project tracking and communication.
  2. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the technical components of applications, operational processes, workflows, and departmental application usage.
  3. Conduct analytical functions to support the implementation of new or upgraded vendor and in-house computing systems, including special projects. Engage in requirements gathering and documentation processes.
  4. Contribute to the development, testing, and evaluation of system designs and projects.
  5. Assist departments with application system management tasks and establish a framework for maintaining application security.
  6. Co-lead projects related to applications under the guidance of a supervisor or manager, providing technical updates to the team.
  7. Provide second and third-level support, including maintenance tasks, and independently address level 1 and level 2 support issues.
  8. Offer training and support to team members.
  9. Participate in on-call rotations and undertake project work that may require availability during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree coupled with three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and self-motivational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and internal clients.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, motivation, and reliability.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while collaborating within a team environment to support departmental objectives.
  • Capable of managing varying workloads while adhering to deadlines.
  • Project management and application testing expertise are advantageous.
  • For relevant positions: Vendor application certification or proficiency is required, or must be obtained within 12 months of hire, with ongoing maintenance of certification as per vendor standards.
