Position Overview
Senior Research Clinician

Focus Areas: Interventions, Healthcare Delivery, or Implementation Science

The Department of Psychiatry at D-H Lebanon-MHMH is seeking a mid-career or Senior Research Clinician and faculty member (MD, PhD, or MD/PhD) with a robust research portfolio in interventions, healthcare delivery science, or implementation science to enhance the department's academic and clinical capabilities.

In this role, the successful candidate will engage in three primary functions:
Research Leadership: Drive and expand a successful program of externally funded, impactful applied research, typically resulting in program projects, center grants, and/or research training grants. Research efforts should ideally align with ongoing departmental clinical activities and initiatives. Mentorship: Provide guidance to early career researchers in establishing their own independently funded research trajectories through avenues such as K awards and other mentored career development grants and postdoctoral research fellows. Strategic Leadership: Enhance the research infrastructure of the Department of Psychiatry by: (a) leading early career research funding initiatives; (b) fostering research collaborations within the department and across D-H; (c) contributing to the design and execution of the department's research education and mentoring programs; and/or (d) participating in the leadership of relevant research initiatives across D-H. D-H Lebanon-MHMH offers numerous avenues for research leadership, mentorship, collaboration, and practice opportunities. Examples of relevant initiatives include: (a) DH Center for Rural Health Care Delivery Science, a NIH-funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) focused on research career development; (b) Northern New England CO-OP Practice and Community Based Research Network (NNE CO-OP PCBRN), a large, three-state research network of community-based primary care practices; (c) Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH), an NIH-funded interdisciplinary research group focused on the development, scientific evaluation, and sustainable implementation of digital therapeutics for behavioral health; and (d) Dartmouth Center for Implementation Science (DCIS), a Dartmouth-wide center dedicated to advancing the science and practice of implementation through research, training, and education.

D-H Lebanon-MHMH seeks candidates with a strong collaborative spirit, the ability to mentor early career clinician-researchers, trainees, and medical students, and a proven track record of securing extramural funding. Successful candidates will hold a scientist position (Senior or Principal Investigator) at D-H and an academic appointment (Associate or Full Professor) in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Preferred candidates will possess a doctoral degree complemented by relevant clinical experience. The Department of Psychiatry is committed to providing long-term salary support and substantial start-up funding for this position.

D-H Lebanon-MHMH is deeply committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive faculty, staff, and trainee community to address the varied needs of our patient populations. We encourage applicants to articulate in their cover letter how their professional and/or personal experiences equip them to further D-H's commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
