Lebanon, New Hampshire, United States D-H Lebanon-MHMH Full time
Position Overview
Senior Research Clinician

Focus on Interventions, Services Delivery, or Implementation Science

D-H Lebanon-MHMH is actively seeking a mid-career or Senior Research Clinician and faculty member (MD, PhD, or MD/PhD) with a proven track record in research pertaining to interventions, health care delivery science, or implementation science to enhance the faculty and clinical capabilities of our department.

In this role, the successful candidate will engage in three primary areas:
Research Leadership: Spearhead and expand a successful program of externally funded, impactful applied research, typically leading to program projects, center grants, and/or research training grants. Ideally, this research will align with ongoing departmental clinical initiatives. Mentorship: Provide guidance to early career researchers in establishing their own independently funded research careers through avenues such as K awards and other mentored career development grants and postdoctoral research fellows. Departmental Leadership: Enhance the research infrastructure of the Department of Psychiatry by: (a) leading early career research funding initiatives; (b) fostering research collaborations within the department and across D-H; (c) contributing to the design and execution of the department's research education and mentoring programs; and/or (d) participating in the leadership of relevant research initiatives across D-H. D-H Lebanon-MHMH offers numerous opportunities for research leadership, mentorship, collaborations, and practice sites. Examples of relevant initiatives include: (a) DH Center for Rural Health Care Delivery Science, a NIH-funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) focusing on research career development; (b) Northern New England CO-OP Practice and Community Based Research Network (NNE CO-OP PCBRN), a significant research network of community-based primary care practices; (c) Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH), an NIH-funded interdisciplinary research group dedicated to the development, scientific evaluation, and sustainable implementation of digital therapeutics for behavioral health; and (d) Dartmouth Center for Implementation Science (DCIS), a center focused on advancing the science and practice of implementation through research, training, and education.

D-H Lebanon-MHMH seeks candidates with a strong collaborative orientation, the ability to mentor early career clinician-researchers, trainees, and medical students, and a robust history of securing extramural funding. Successful candidates will hold a scientist position (Senior or Principal Investigator) at D-H and an academic appointment (Associate or Full Professor) in the Geisel School of Medicine. Preferred candidates will possess a doctoral degree with relevant clinical experience. The Department of Psychiatry is committed to providing long-term salary support and substantial start-up funding for this position.
