Position Overview:

Hello Neighbor is on the lookout for exceptional candidates to fill the role of HR and Operations Coordinator. This position is integral to our Operations team, directly reporting to the Director of Finance and collaborating closely with the Staff Accountant and Office Manager. The primary focus will be on enhancing our organizational efficiency across three key areas: human resources, finance, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee payroll processing and manage HR information system data.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and training for an advanced payroll/HRIS.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all operational processes and policies, including data filing and retention.
- Prepare for external audits and maintain compliance with internal policies.
- Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes for all personnel.
- Provide support in payroll processes, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records within the payroll/HRIS system.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings and conducting candidate screenings.
- Instruct new employees on the use of payroll/HRIS systems and provide ongoing support.
- Manage all operational filings, including HR, payroll, and vendor documentation.
- Organize and track staff training and onboarding schedules.
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding organizational knowledge and documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration and contractor tracking.
- Ensure compliance with employment law postings and maintain document organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years of experience in related fields such as business administration or payroll.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data management and familiarity with relevant software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in a diverse environment.
