Position Overview:

Hello Neighbor is on the lookout for exceptional candidates to fill the role of HR and Operations Coordinator. This position is integral to our Operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance and collaborating closely with the Staff Accountant and Office Manager to enhance our organizational functions in human resources, finance, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll processing for all staff, ensuring accurate entry and reporting in collaboration with the Staff Accountant.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records within the payroll and HR information system, alongside all HR-related documentation.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of personnel data, including information required for compliance reporting.
  • Post job openings on recruitment platforms, facilitate candidate screening, and coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide training and support for new staff regarding the payroll and HRIS systems, addressing any inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
  • Oversee the organization of operational files, including HR, payroll, vendor contracts, and government agreements.
  • Coordinate staff training sessions and track compliance with ongoing training requirements.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for all staff regarding organizational processes and documentation.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and terminations, and respond to benefits-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law postings and maintain all necessary documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of relevant education or experience in fields such as business administration or payroll.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in data management and familiarity with various software systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
