Overview The **Vice President of Inside Sales Operations** is tasked with driving substantial revenue growth while offering strategic insight for the overarching Paychex expansion plan. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop a new Inside Sales division from inception, crafting and implementing a strategic framework that effectively addresses customer segments in line with the market approach.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance essential sales processes to ensure consistent operational execution, enabling the organization to surpass business objectives and scale effectively.
  • Collaborate with fellow sales leaders to devise a comprehensive sales coverage strategy that delivers appropriate support to our clientele and prospects.
  • Engage in territory planning, account segmentation, and resource allocation to optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Define and refine performance metrics, measurements, and data systems in conjunction with the Finance department.
  • Proactively utilize and adapt innovative technologies within the sales process.
  • Oversee the creation of an efficient recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new Inside Sales personnel.
  • Monitor and enhance operational procedures and adherence to key sales tools to document the sales workflow, forecasts, lead management, and activities, ensuring strong data integrity.
  • Accountable for the overall performance management and professional development initiatives for the Inside Sales team.
  • Provide leadership for the daily operations of Inside Sales to fulfill the mission, achieve key performance indicators, and maintain alignment with the company's long-term strategic objectives.
  • Guide and mentor direct reports while also offering support to indirect functions to operate cohesively as an integrated inside sales unit.
  • Collaborate with supporting departments in Sales Strategy and Human Resources to formulate plans for onboarding new sales talent and remain informed on Inside Sales solutions, industry trends, and relevant skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in people leadership, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing other leaders.
  • Demonstrated skills in change management and personnel development.
  • 10+ years of experience in diverse roles within analytical, strategic, growth-oriented positions.
  • 3 years of experience in Inside Sales leadership roles.
  • Previous experience in establishing new teams and managing organizational change.
  • Experience in HCM technology sales and small/medium B2B models.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and excellent collaboration and team-building skills.
  • High degree of initiative and outstanding verbal communication and listening abilities.
