Overview The **Vice President of Inside Sales** is tasked with driving substantial revenue growth while offering strategic insights for the overarching Paychex expansion plan. This pivotal role acts as the primary architect, establishing the vision and operational framework for Inside Sales within a designated Paychex Sales division. The individual will be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals, while fostering collaborative relationships and nurturing an inclusive environment for high-achieving teams. This position is perfect for a dedicated Inside Sales professional with a strong emotional intelligence who will transform this new division into a scalable, consistent model, engaging sales leaders to implement a unified go-to-market strategy for optimal coverage, growth, and returns.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Establish and develop** a new Inside Sales division from inception, crafting and executing a strategic plan that effectively addresses customer segments in alignment with the go-to-market framework.
- **Continuously evaluate and enhance** essential sales processes that can be reliably operationalized, creating a transparent execution roadmap that enables the organization to surpass business objectives and scale effectively.
- **Collaborate with fellow sales leaders** to formulate a holistic sales coverage strategy that ensures adequate support for our clients and prospects.
- **Engage in territory planning**, account segmentation, and resource allocation to optimize sales efforts.
- **Define and refine metrics**, measures, and data systems in conjunction with the Finance department.
- **Leverage and adapt** innovative technologies in the sales process.
- **Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding** processes for new Inside Sales team members.
- **Drive and monitor operational processes** and adherence to key sales tools to document the sales workflow, forecasting, lead management, and activities with a strong emphasis on data integrity.
- **Accountable for performance management** and employee development initiatives within Inside Sales.
- **Provide leadership** for the daily operations of Inside Sales to fulfill the mission, achieve key performance indicators, and maintain alignment with the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
- **Guide direct line resources** while also advising on dotted line functions to function as a cohesive go-to-market inside unit.
- **Work in partnership** with support functions in Sales Strategy and Human Resources to devise plans for onboarding new sales talent and to stay updated on Inside Sales solutions, industry trends, and relevant skills.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in people leadership, with at least 5+ years as a leader of leaders.
- Proven skills in change management and talent development.
- 10+ years of experience in diverse roles within analytical, strategic, growth-oriented positions.
- 3 years of experience in Inside Sales leadership roles.
- Prior experience in building new teams from the ground up and managing organizational change.
- Familiarity with HCM technology sales.
- Experience in small/medium B2B models.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent collaboration and team-building skills.
- High degree of initiative.
- Exceptional verbal communication and listening abilities.
