At BookingPal, our Harvesting division is dedicated to the continuous collection of millions of packages of premium fresh produce annually. With cultivation sites across various regions, our team travels to assess the quality and yield of all planted crops, providing daily and weekly updates to our Sales division. The Harvesting division collaborates closely with Production and Operations to ensure a steady supply for our esteemed clientele.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President of Agricultural Operations is responsible for strategizing and directing the operational policies, objectives, and initiatives related to harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection of millions of cartons of fresh produce each year, including a variety of crops.
  • Manage operations across extensive agricultural land in multiple regions.
  • Maintain and monitor the harvesting and labor budget to ensure effective financial management.
  • Ensure accuracy in volume estimations within the harvesting division.
  • Act as a vital member of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Human Resources, Safety, and Accounting departments.
  • Lead and manage large teams across various regions.

DIRECT REPORTS:

  • Harvest Managers
  • Director of Harvesting Operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Participation in board meetings.
  • Reviewing employee performance and implementing company policies.
  • Overseeing daily operations and managing the harvesting team.
  • Fostering employee development and team cohesion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaboration with the CEO and Executive Team.
  • Management of budgets and daily activities.
  • Setting objectives for Directors and Managers.
  • Regular attendance at Owner/Board meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of field-level experience, with a focus on labor management.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and willingness to learn new systems.
