Position Overview

Mack Property Management is expanding and is in search of a Senior Vice President of Operations to oversee our portfolio in the western United States. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing our business by supervising a team of experts in property management services across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners and senior executives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance on-site operations.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and comprehensive business plans.
  • Oversee a diverse range of assets in rapidly growing markets, including residential, industrial, and commercial properties.
  • Design and implement robust programs and strategies to achieve optimal operational and financial performance.
  • Lead and influence a geographically dispersed management team, ensuring regional and community-level success.
  • Monitor and assess daily operational goals and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance on capital expense planning and project management.
  • Guide the Operations Support Manager in tracking and achieving regional objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards across all properties.
  • Identify innovative solutions and process improvements to enhance the company’s financial health.
  • Review and analyze annual operating budgets and capital planning.
  • Address budget variances with actionable operational plans.
  • Stay informed on local regulations affecting property management.
  • Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators, including revenue optimization.
  • Provide strategic insights for asset preservation and capital improvement decisions.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs across the assigned portfolio.
  • Review contracts and service agreements before corporate approval.
  • Maintain risk management protocols, including incident reporting and safety training.
  • Be prepared for additional hours and travel as required by business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the multi-family housing sector or related business management.
  • Experience in construction management is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in developing high-performing teams through mentorship.
  • Experience in industrial and commercial management is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, including a base salary and performance bonuses. This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 40 hours per week.
