Position Overview

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.

Role Summary:

The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of administrative tasks, operating with minimal oversight. This position necessitates regular interaction with personnel, candidates, and interns. Responsibilities may include managing benefits accrual, balancing time-off requests, overseeing absence management including leaves, maintaining records, and facilitating recognition and wellness initiatives, as well as continuing medical education (CME) and training programs.

The HR Operations Specialist will ensure the prompt processing of unemployment and workers' compensation claims, along with the preparation and execution of personnel and payroll-related actions. This role encompasses interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members.

Qualifications:

The HR Operations Specialist must possess a solid grasp of HR policies and procedures, demonstrating the ability to operate independently with limited guidance. The position entails a considerable volume of administrative and operational responsibilities.

Educational Background:

An Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Specialized training in benefits, human resources, or payroll administration is advantageous.

Experience Required:

A minimum of five years of experience in human resources is essential, with a preference for backgrounds in benefits administration or payroll. Proven expertise in employee relations, benefits management, and staff communication is preferred. Strong customer service and organizational skills are necessary. Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook and familiarity with internet-based HR and payroll applications are required.

Certifications and Skills:

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
