Role Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for executing intricate administrative functions with minimal oversight. This position necessitates regular interaction with employees, candidates, and interns. Responsibilities may include managing benefits accrual, balancing time-off, and overseeing absence management, including leave administration, record keeping, recognition initiatives, wellness programs, and continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.

The HR Generalist will ensure the prompt handling of unemployment and workers' compensation claims, alongside the preparation and processing of personnel and payroll actions. This role encompasses interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding processes for Family Health Center staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Handle a variety of administrative and operational tasks.

Educational Qualifications:

An Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required, with a Bachelor's degree being preferred. Specialized training in benefits, human resources, or payroll administration is advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of five years of experience in human resources is required, with a preference for experience in benefits administration or payroll. Proven expertise in employee relations, benefits management, and staff communication is essential. Strong customer service and organizational skills are necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office/Outlook and internet-based HR and payroll applications.

Certifications:

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
