Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee various servicing operations for all types of loans throughout their life cycle, including payment processing, escrow management, payoff handling, lien release, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Supervise and assess the productivity and daily activities of the loan servicing team to ensure adherence to established service level agreements (SLA) while optimizing operational efficiencies.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, providing guidance on performance management, promotions, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Monitor team performance and departmental service metrics to ensure goals and standards are consistently met.
- Provide hands-on support to the team by engaging in processing tasks as needed.
- Assist team members with escalated customer inquiries by taking calls or coaching staff on effective resolution strategies.
- Review and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure they remain current and effective.
- Propose enhancements to processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes in loan servicing and communicate relevant updates to the team.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a related field is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of loan servicing requirements and a strong understanding of lending regulations.
- Proven expertise in banking policies and procedures.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with technology and systems, with a quick learning ability for new software.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
