Position Overview

The Floating Program Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing both clinical and administrative functions within the designated residential program. This position is integral to the cohesive team, providing leadership and direction to the staff in their efforts to deliver quality care and effective treatment planning interventions. The Floating Program Manager will rotate among various group living settings to ensure program continuity during vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the daily operations of the assigned group home adhere to the principles and methodologies of psychiatric rehabilitation.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, assess, and implement progressive discipline for all personnel in collaboration with the Residential Services Coordinator.
  • Organize staff schedules to comply with health and safety regulations while addressing the unique needs of individuals served.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of Quality Indicators through the Individualized Action Plan (IAP) process and Program Objectives.
  • Engage in the evaluation of individual referrals, admissions, and discharges.
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive program and individual records that meet agency and funding standards.
  • Act as a liaison with families, guardians, the Department of Mental Health (DMH), and other external service providers.
  • Supervise and assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the residence and associated vehicles.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the program budget and monitor financial expenditures.
  • Oversee the management of individuals' funds and belongings, adhering to IAP guidelines and agency policies.
  • Ensure medication management complies with Medication Administration Program (MAP) regulations.
  • Provide training on NSMHA protocols to newly onboarded staff.

Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field strongly preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years in a supervisory role, along with two years of experience in Human Services, particularly with populations experiencing developmental disorders and/or mental health challenges, is essential.

Skills: A valid Driver's License is required. Must possess MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of employment (training provided).
