Position Overview

The Floating Program Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing both the clinical and administrative functions of designated residential programs. This position is integral to the multidisciplinary team, providing essential supervision and direction to staff members as they deliver direct care and develop treatment plans. The Program Manager will rotate among various group living settings to ensure effective management during vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the daily operations of the assigned residential facility align with the principles and methodologies of psychiatric rehabilitation.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, while also managing progressive disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Residential Services Coordinator.
  • Organize staff schedules to fulfill health and safety standards, as well as cater to the unique needs of residents.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of Quality Indicators through the Individualized Action Plan (IAP) process and program objectives.
  • Engage in the evaluation of referrals, admissions, and discharges of individuals.
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive program and individual records that comply with agency and funding requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with families, guardians, the Department of Mental Health (DMH), and other external service providers.
  • Supervise and assist in the upkeep of the residence and vehicles.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the program budget and monitor expenditures.
  • Manage residents' funds and belongings in accordance with IAP guidelines and agency policies.
  • Ensure medication management adheres to MAP regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires on NSMHA protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required, while a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years in a supervisory role is required, along with two years of experience in Human Services, particularly with populations experiencing developmental disorders and/or mental health challenges.

Skills: A valid Driver's License is essential. Candidates must be MAP certified and CPR/First Aid certified within five months of employment (training will be provided).
