Position Overview:
As a vital member of the organization, the Risk Management and Compliance Specialist is responsible for executing and documenting the risk management activities of the Credit Union.

This role utilizes various tools to ensure adherence to internal protocols and industry best practices while effectively managing the prompt resolution of self-identified control weaknesses.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive enterprise risk monitoring tasks, including risk evaluations across all operational sectors of the credit union.
- Performs both internal and external audits, offering support related to audit processes and ensuring timely remediation.
- Works collaboratively with essential departments to relay identified deficiencies and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure alignment with operational practices.

- Samples accounts and documentation, monitors outcomes, and compiles reports regarding information obtained from business units in relation to regulatory compliance self-assessments.

- Provides constructive feedback to management concerning enhancements in risk management and compliance operations.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Certifications:
- Proficient in office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and various web-based tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
