Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to enhance our Minerals and Metals Business line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cost-efficient civil and site utility designs from initial concepts to detailed designs, tenders, and construction, adhering to local regulations and standards for mining and industrial projects.
  • Conduct site evaluations, inspections, and prepare reports, focusing on functional and detailed designs for water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, grading, bulk earthworks, parking facilities, and roadways related to mining operations.
  • Serve as the engineer of record or discipline lead, guiding and reviewing the work of drafting and engineering teams in the creation of designs, drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications, and cost estimates for civil projects.
  • Oversee and mentor junior and mid-level civil engineers.
  • Manage construction administration tasks, including report writing, specification preparation, and cost estimation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers from various disciplines to ensure civil design activities are executed consistently, meeting project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assist in proposal development and business growth initiatives.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer registration in the United States, with a good standing membership.
  • Over 15 years of experience, predominantly in civil infrastructure design for mining and heavy industrial projects, including bulk earthworks, road construction, stormwater systems, and site utilities.
  • Experience in municipal design is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and engage directly with design teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with construction and contract administration is a plus.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D software.
  • Experience in consulting engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
