Dibble Engineering is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to contribute to our projects, focusing on municipal and higher education clients as well as architects.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project performance and ensuring quality assurance on deliverables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating strong teamwork capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct the creation of civil construction plans and design documentation.
  • Simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Effectively allocate time to execute assigned tasks accurately, within deadlines, and budget constraints.
  • Prepare construction documentation, technical specifications, reports, and technical memoranda.
  • Lead, organize, and manage small teams of personnel, including EITs, designers, and drafters.
  • Support project managers in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct quality reviews of personal work and the work of designers and engineers in line with the company's quality control protocols.
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing proposals, focusing on technical understanding and approach.
  • Support construction administration tasks, including reviewing contractor material submissions, responding to RFIs, and managing change order requests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona or the ability to obtain an Arizona PE license within six months of employment.
  • 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing CAD software.
  • Proven knowledge in grading and drainage design, civil site design, stormwater/sewer/water design, and dry utility coordination is preferred.
  • Familiarity with municipal codes and agency permitting processes.
  • Experience in commercial or site development is preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
COMPENSATION: Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
