Dibble Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineering Project Specialist to support our municipal and higher education clients as well as architects.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Civil Engineering Project Specialist will be responsible for overseeing project performance and ensuring the quality of deliverables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects concurrently while being a collaborative team member.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct the creation of civil construction plans and design documentation.
  • Simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Effectively allocate time to execute assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget constraints.
  • Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, reports, and technical memoranda.
  • Lead, organize, and manage small teams of professionals (EITs, designers, and drafters).
  • Assist project managers in developing and overseeing project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct quality reviews of personal work and that of designers and engineers in line with the company's quality assurance protocols.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Support the development of marketing proposals (craft technical understanding and strategic approach).
  • Assist in the construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor material submissions, RFIs, and change order requests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona or the ability to obtain an Arizona PE license within six months of employment.
  • 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience with CAD software.
  • Proficient knowledge of grading and drainage design, civil site design, stormwater/sewer/water design, and dry utility coordination is preferred.
  • Familiarity with municipal codes and agency permitting processes.
  • Prior experience in commercial/site development is preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
