Dibble Engineering is currently seeking a skilled and driven Civil Engineering Project Specialist to support our municipal and higher education clients, as well as architects.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Civil Engineering Project Specialist will be responsible for overseeing project outcomes and ensuring the quality of deliverables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects concurrently while being a collaborative team member.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the creation of civil construction plans and design documentation.
- Manage several projects simultaneously.
- Effectively allocate time to complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
- Prepare construction documentation, technical specifications, reports, and memos.
- Lead and coordinate small teams of engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Assist project managers in developing and maintaining project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct quality reviews of personal work and the work of team members in alignment with the company's quality assurance protocols.
- Participate in client meetings and discussions.
- Contribute to the development of marketing proposals, focusing on technical understanding and approach.
- Support construction administration activities, including reviewing contractor submissions, responding to RFIs, and managing change orders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona or eligibility to obtain an Arizona PE license within six months of hire.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience utilizing CAD software.
- Proven knowledge in grading and drainage design, civil site design, stormwater/sewer/water design, and dry utility coordination is preferred.
- Familiarity with municipal codes and agency permitting processes.
- Experience in commercial and site development is advantageous.
- Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
