Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Systems Engineer on designated PEO Soldier programs, with responsibilities including:
Overseeing systems engineering tasks such as requirements analysis, functional analysis, design solution development, systems analysis and control, as well as the creation and upkeep of systems architecture documentation.
Utilizing systems engineering principles to convert defined needs into performance metrics and identifying system configurations.
Drafting and issuing systems engineering documentation, processes, procedures, and milestones.Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Systems Engineering Management Process and its application within the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition framework across all lifecycle phases; familiarity with DOD policies regarding Systems Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and IPT Management; and the capability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering efforts with related programs and organizations.
Offering expert and authoritative guidance on critical programs and technologies.Acting as the subject matter expert for all technical dimensions of the assigned program.
Conducting high-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
Translating military operational and mission requirements into actionable system concepts and performance specifications.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering modifications.
Engaging in post-award program reviews, design evaluations, and IPTs as the project engineer and/or technical authority on assigned initiatives.
Assessing design efforts to ensure the integration of all engineering disciplines and the sufficiency of analyses conducted, enlisting additional technical expertise as necessary.
Evaluating test plans, procedures, and reports for technical soundness on assigned programs, covering both Government and contractor tests, along with all failure reports.
Monitoring and evaluating system performance against specification requirements, overseeing field performance, and assessing risks associated with meeting user and specification criteria.
Initiating engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations as necessary, and conducting physical and functional configuration audits. Reviewing program management documents to ensure the precision and adequacy of technical content.About Us:
