Position: Advanced Materials Engineer - Focus on Atomic Layer Deposition

About the Role: We are in search of a motivated professional to join our Advanced Sensors Engineering Team. This role emphasizes the application of expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) to enhance existing processes and develop novel methodologies. The successful candidate will address challenges in the fabrication process, ensuring that quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and document experimental procedures while analyzing data sets and process flows.
  • Create prototypes to validate new processes and ensure thorough documentation for verification purposes.
  • Establish and maintain process protocols for substrate preparation, handling, and fixturing related to atomic layer deposition.
  • Select appropriate precursors and develop recipes aimed at optimizing uniformity, stoichiometry, and overall film performance.
  • Utilize film characterization techniques and process monitoring tools, including ellipsometry, SEM, and XPS.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. A Master's degree with substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fields such as OMVPE, MEMS, Advanced Packaging, Micro/Nano Fabrication, or the Semiconductor industry.
  • Proven experience in transitioning R&D processes to production and establishing process specifications.
  • Familiarity with ALD equipment and related technologies, including vacuum systems and cleanroom protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data analysis and statistical process control.

Preferred Skills:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with modeling software such as Zemax or COMSOL.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, and C++.
  • Background in the defense sector with a track record of delivering compliant solutions.
