Position Overview:
Markon Solutions is in search of a seasoned Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering Owner's Representative construction management services to a Department of Defense client.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, your primary focus will be on supporting engineering and design initiatives during the pre-construction phase. Additionally, you will assist project managers overseeing awarded construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting Government acquisition efforts for A/E services and construction projects by coordinating across various Government working groups.
2. Providing Subject Matter Expertise in managing and overseeing studies and designs for new constructions, renovations, and enhancements to real property facilities.
3. Offering engineering support and analysis to the Government in managing awarded study and design contracts, including reviewing A/E contractor work and delivering comprehensive reports.
4. Assisting the Government in conducting site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits to assess constructability and code compliance.
5. Developing draft scopes of work, validating requirements, and participating in pre-bid conferences.
6. Engaging in risk analysis walkthroughs and value engineering initiatives.
7. Supporting the development of technical requirements, scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules for A/E services, including studies, reports, and drawings review.
8. Conducting design technical reviews from initial concept through to final design drawings and maintaining the submittal review process.
9. Leading and participating in weekly project progress meetings and monthly program progress meetings to assess schedule adherence and identify potential risks.
10. Maintaining construction administration data in various formats for aggregation and utilization as metrics and briefing tools for senior leadership.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or
- 20+ years of experience in civil and structural design and design reviews, including 10 years of familiarity with the Unified Facility Code and International Building Code, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Pentagon WHS is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel expected (0 - 10%).
