Key Responsibilities:
Leading Systems Engineering initiatives for a sophisticated cybersecurity platform.
Facilitating collaboration among teams for the design, integration, and evaluation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, alongside the Design & Development Lead and Chief Engineer.
Engaging directly with clients, stakeholders, and end-users to understand priorities, capability frameworks, requirements, use cases, and narratives to derive, develop, and refine subsequent updates and specifications.
Acting as the advocate for user needs throughout the development process.
Working collaboratively within Agile Release Trains and Agile Teams.
Conducting risk assessments and formulating risk mitigation strategies.
Delivering Systems Engineering expertise and leadership for a large-scale cybersecurity initiative.

Essential Qualifications:
Over 6 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, including hardware and software requirements allocation, use case and narrative development, detailed design of system components, and direct automation/orchestration experience with extensive systems.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with significant experience successfully guiding large teams.
Proficient in functioning as a leader, within a team, or as an independent contributor.
Experience in an Agile development environment in a leadership capacity.
Possesses or rapidly acquires a thorough understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud deployment and management tools.
Expertise in infrastructure automation, including deployment, configuration, and orchestration.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as JSON, YAML, HCL, Python, bash/PSH, and/or CloudFormation/Terraform.

Educational Requirements:


A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required; or a High School Diploma with 14 years of relevant experience.

Must be a US Citizen.
Must hold an active Secret clearance and be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance.
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar lean Agile methodologies.
Experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure) and cloud architecture, design, and implementation, including DevSecOps or DevOps practices.
Knowledge of software and system lifecycle methodologies (e.g., ISO, CMMI, ITIL, etc.).

Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security and privacy controls (including proprietary standards and NIST DHS experience).

Certification in Agile software development methodologies (e.g., SCRUM Master).
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional certification.
DoD IAT Level I or II certification (e.g., CISSP).
