Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design. This role involves close collaboration with our team of engineers to deliver energy-efficient solutions for a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing plumbing systems and fire protection systems for various building projects.
- Creating detailed layouts and specifications for fire protection systems, including fire pumps and sprinkler systems.
- Developing Life Safety and Fire Alarm plans, along with necessary calculations and project narratives.
- Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Engaging with clients, architects, and contractors to provide technical guidance and project updates.
- Reviewing contractor submissions to ensure adherence to contract specifications and applicable codes.
- Conducting research and analysis on design proposals to assess feasibility and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in plumbing and fire protection design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and standards related to life safety and fire protection.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
