POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Executive is responsible for delivering prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous Outside Sales Support to our Clients, prospective Clients, and Organizations regarding product offerings, availability, services, promotional sales, and delivery schedules. This role serves as the primary external sales contact for potential and existing clients, focusing on promoting new products and ensuring exceptional customer service. Furthermore, the Account Executive is tasked with generating new sales opportunities and leads, qualifying potential clients, and providing sales management with territorial insights and forecasts. This position is highly customer-centric and requires a proactive individual who can instill confidence in our products, team, and processes. Candidates should reside in the Syracuse, NY area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring complete customer satisfaction.


• Advocate for key products and services within the Riddell portfolio in the designated territory.


• Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Production to foster a team-oriented environment and ensure optimal technical and customer service support.


• Conduct in-person visits to accounts as mandated by sales management.


• Initiate cold calls to potential new clients to broaden our customer base.


• Assess prospective new and non-purchasing clients.


• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all company products, catalog offerings, and promotional items.


• Execute territory business plans to effectively achieve or surpass sales quotas.


• Develop pre-call strategies and objectives to ensure productive interactions with clients.


• Acquire a robust understanding of assigned products and services, including applications used by our clientele and the features and benefits of competing products.


• Attend all mandatory sales meetings, training sessions, clinics, trade shows, and conferences within the assigned territory.


• Provide timely reports as required by the company, including call/travel reports, itineraries, territory analysis, and forecasts, as well as those requested by Sales Management/Riddell Corporate.


• Maintain ongoing communication with the assigned Regional Sales Manager regarding relevant sales issues and opportunities.


• Complete additional objectives as assigned by Sales Management.


• Travel up to 80-90% within the designated territory.


• Availability to work evenings and weekends may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


• Authorized to work in the U.S.


• Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.


• A minimum of five (5) years of cold call sales experience is preferred.


• Familiarity with sports and the equipment associated with each sport is preferred.


• Sales experience in the sporting goods sector is desirable.


• Proven history of teamwork and effective collaboration with support resources to complete sales and service clients.


• Proficient in MS Office applications.


• Experience with SAP is a plus.


• Must maintain a valid driver's license and car insurance, with documentation on file with the Human Resources Department.


• Must provide a reliable vehicle suitable for performing the required duties and tasks associated with the sales position.


• Ability to work in team locker rooms, gymnasiums, or similar environments, as well as potentially in private homes or public venues.
