Position Overview

Dannible & McKee, LLP, a leading certified public accounting and consulting firm in the Central New York area, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Junior Accountant to become a part of our Accounting and Advisory Services team. This role is essential in supporting our expanding clientele across various sectors with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks as required by clients.
  • Oversee month-end processes, including maintaining the general ledger and reconciling balance sheets.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyze financial data, and create reports and summaries for clients.
  • Prepare analyses and workpapers for the client's external audit team during their review or audit of the annual financial statements.
  • Keep the supervising partner or manager informed about the progress of assignments.
  • Engage in various communications with assigned clients.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business from an accredited institution.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in private or public accounting or equivalent industry specialization.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting standards, and financial systems.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop/Online and other accounting software.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different client requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range:
