Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients, update insurance information, schedule visits, and perform other duties as assigned to coordinate patient appointment scheduling.
  • Financial Obligations: Discuss financial obligations and explain regulatory forms, as well as answer any questions patients may have.
  • Electronic Health Record Management: Utilize the electronic medical record to maintain patient records via registration process and scan functionality.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Communicate professionally and timely with all parties, including providers, patients, clinical care team, and insurance companies.
  • Phone and In-Person Interactions: Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately to team members, and interact with a diverse patient population.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
  • Experience: 2-3 years office experience or one year of related experience in a medical practice - preferred
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task in a high patient volume unit, strong time management skills, and ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions.
