Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our team at New York Oncology & Hematology. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, managing patient communication, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments and tests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Answer incoming calls and direct calls to appropriate personnel
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff
  • Collect and enter patient information, including insurance authorization and correspondence
  • Collect co-pays and out-of-pocket amounts from patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, and other documents as requested by supervisors
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-3 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
