We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our team at New York Oncology & Hematology. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, managing patient communication, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments and tests in a timely and efficient manner
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff
- Collect and enter patient information, including insurance authorization and correspondence
- Collect co-pays and out-of-pocket amounts from patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Prepare correspondence, memos, and other documents as requested by supervisors
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-3 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
