We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at OrthoNY. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring accurate and efficient registration and payment processing, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling
- Prepare appointments for the following day to ensure accuracy of data, including eligibility, benefits, and insurance responsibility.
- Collect and enter registration information, including copayments and balances.
- Customer Service
- Greet patients promptly and professionally.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Administrative Tasks
- Review and update patient records, including EMR and practice management system.
- Reconcile daily payments and compile reports.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Work with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient information and throughput to the clinic.
- Print and distribute patient handouts and follow-up materials.
- Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required; some higher education preferred.
- Experience working with EMR/PM systems and medical insurance preferred.
- Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
This is a full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to various OrthoNY locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
