Senior Vice President of Sales - Liquid Barge Division

Our client, a leading player in the transportation and logistics sector, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales for their Liquid Barge division. This role is critical in steering the growth and profitability of this business segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives to meet corporate goals for products and services within the Liquid Barge sector.
  • Oversee sales forecasting activities and establish performance benchmarks.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics against established programs and strategies to assess effectiveness.
  • Manage and develop sales operating budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Lead staffing, training, and performance assessments to enhance sales and service operations.
  • Facilitate communication between the sales department and other related units.
  • Prepare regular sales reports detailing sales volume, potential opportunities, and areas for client base expansion.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on barge line sales.
  • A proven history of surpassing sales targets and fostering revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
