Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Sysco Brands is a pivotal role within our corporate structure, responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational execution of Sysco's extensive brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive business strategy for Sysco Brands, focusing on e-commerce and sales-driven channels.
  • Manage the performance and profitability of the Sysco Private Brand portfolio through innovative marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Promote a digital-first approach to enhance the online shopping experience, emphasizing best practices in supplier collaboration and product presentation.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Merchandising and the Vice President of Personalization and E-commerce to align growth strategies on our digital platform.
  • Develop data-driven growth plans that prioritize customer needs across all business channels.
  • Identify key customer segments and growth platforms to optimize product assortments.
  • Lead product innovation initiatives that resonate with customer demands, ensuring Sysco remains at the forefront of industry trends.
  • Establish brand architecture and strategies that cater to both global and local market needs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align product offerings with customer expectations.
  • Engage with the Strategic Sourcing team to cultivate supplier relationships that support our brand objectives.
  • Work with Operational Merchandising to integrate regional feedback into product assortments.
  • Partner with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team to uphold product and packaging standards.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Management to enhance customer service and manage inventory complexities.
  • Support the Marketing team in providing sales teams with top-tier materials to promote the Sysco Brand portfolio.
  • Share best practices across Sysco's diverse business units to drive overall success.

Performance Metrics:

  • Growth in Sysco Brand volume, sales, and profit margins.
  • Customer satisfaction and service level improvements.
  • Market share expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in merchandising or retail consulting.
  • Proven strategic thinker with a track record of executing financial plans.
  • Experience in private brand product development and customer-centric innovation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive organizational change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in omnichannel business practices.
  • Proficient in managing complex business operations with P&L responsibility.
  • Ability to leverage market trends for value creation.
  • Experience in a matrixed organizational structure.
