Lexitas is a rapidly expanding organization in search of a Senior Vice President of Financial Operations.

Lexitas provides a diverse range of services, including local and national court reporting, medical record retrieval, process service, registered agent services, and legal talent outsourcing.

The Senior Vice President of Financial Operations will oversee and enhance the company's comprehensive Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (OTC) processes.

This role includes accountability for optimizing key accounts payable and cash application processes through collaboration with various internal and external teams.

The SVP ensures that the team's activities, reports, and outcomes align with established goals and comply with accounting standards and company policies.

This position demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of finance and accounting, a mindset geared towards process enhancement, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume transaction environment.

Building robust relationships, resolving conflicts, and ensuring customer satisfaction—whether internal or external—are also critical aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader capable of mentoring teams and facilitating their professional development. The Senior Vice President of Financial Operations will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing P2P and OTC frameworks to formulate a strategy and vision for future process flows, identifying necessary organizational and workflow adjustments.
  • Manage and enhance the company's financial processes by supervising accounts payable and cash application functions.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports that support the organization's broader financial reporting needs.
  • Oversee the Travel & Expense (T&E) function to ensure adherence to guidelines and provide reporting dashboards to senior leadership. Enforce T&E spending policies and conduct regular audits of key business expenses.
  • Establish performance metrics for AP/AR, track and report key indicators monthly, and foster a team-oriented environment that integrates collaborative and customer service-focused behaviors.
  • Develop strategic plans for areas of responsibility and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and other departments to ensure positive interactions and effective resolutions.
  • Address escalated internal and external customer issues.
  • Set departmental goals and monitor key metrics, analyses, and reporting.
  • Lead integration activities for Accounts Payable and Cash Applications during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Maintain an appropriate internal control environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members through training, objective setting, policy communication, and constructive feedback.
  • Achieve efficient cash collection and payment metrics while optimizing cash flow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in implementing process improvements and optimizing end-to-end P2P and OTC processes within large organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and engage in enterprise finance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in enhancing manual processes through automation and/or AI.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborative management style with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions with senior leaders in the organization.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a mid-size to large company environment, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Experience in collaborating with offshore teams and knowledge of the legal aspects of payables and receivables is advantageous.

Travel Requirements:

This position allows for remote work but will require occasional travel to corporate headquarters and divisional offices.
