Job Overview

The Guest Services Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for members and visitors, embodying the commitment to exceptional service. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while assisting patrons with inquiries and facilitating their needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Engagement
  • Warmly welcomes members and guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Handles incoming calls with professionalism, ensuring accurate transfer to relevant departments.
  • Manages member check-ins and verifies memberships; enrolls members in group fitness or specialized classes.
  • Guides prospective members to the appropriate department for registration.
  • Addresses member inquiries or directs them to the suitable personnel for assistance.
  • Promotes and sells merchandise, including supplements and apparel.
  • Processes transactions accurately using the POS system.
  • Maintains a polished and professional demeanor at all times, refraining from non-work-related activities.
  • Responds to inquiries from guests, members, and staff with professionalism.
  • Informs members about special events and activities within the facility.
  • Reports any safety concerns or emergencies to management immediately.

Administrative Duties
  • Ensures the front desk and lobby areas are tidy and organized.
  • Completes opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Participates in scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Assists with inventory management and pricing as necessary.
  • Contacts members regarding overdue payments.
RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION: The Guest Services Coordinator reports directly to the Front Desk Lead and Operations Manager, interacting with various levels of management and staff across corporate and field offices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess a vibrant personality with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
  • Focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Capable of multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Compliance with scheduled breaks and accurate timekeeping.

2) Educational Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Current CPR/AED certification is mandatory.
3) Experience:
  1. A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience in relevant industries.
  2. Experience managing multiple phone lines is preferred.
  3. Basic computer proficiency is required.

4) Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand, reach, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
