The Guest Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the management team to ensure that our guests receive friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service at all times. This position thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, encompassing various responsibilities such as guest interaction, order management, and hands-on service.
Upon joining, you will undergo training to master our service standards and will be expected to mentor and support your colleagues while executing your duties. Your contribution will be vital in fostering a team-oriented service environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Valid Food Handler Card.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to maintain focus under pressure.
- Ability to promote menu items and beverages effectively.
- Calm demeanor when addressing guest concerns or conflicts.
- Self-sufficient with minimal supervision.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit.
- Thorough understanding of front-of-house operations.
- Proper handling and maintenance of food service equipment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute opening tasks as assigned to established standards.
- Document all necessary information clearly and accurately.
- Seat guests promptly and courteously, accommodating special requests.
- Facilitate the transfer of guest checks between staff members.
- Proactively anticipate and respond to guest needs.
- Engage with guests, supervisors, and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Resolve guest complaints effectively.
- Adhere to management directives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest areas.
- Guide team members to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Complete closing reports as required.
- Document orders accurately when the point-of-sale system is unavailable.
- Process comp's or voids as necessary during shifts.
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintenance protocols.
- Update menus and wine lists as directed.
- Communicate any relevant information to management regarding shift activities.
