InsideHigherEd is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 2 to contribute to a dynamic research environment focused on the advancement of innovative genetic methodologies applicable to various health-related fields.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in collaborative settings, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and excel in effective communication. You will engage in a variety of tasks including but not limited to cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and flow cytometry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research experiments and tasks
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results, adjusting protocols as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of research findings
  • Oversee laboratory operations, budget management, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Mentor and support fellow team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Expertise in molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with tissue culture, microscopy, and flow cytometry
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with high-throughput sequencing and sample preparation

Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with applicable work experience or a Master's degree.

  • Comprehensive understanding of scientific methodologies
  • Proficient in computer applications and data management
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail

Working Conditions:

The compensation for this role ranges from $71,000 to $88,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
