Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with a team of passionate researchers at the forefront of single-cell biology and cell engineering to establish a therapeutic screening platform.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the assembly and sequencing of single-cell transcriptomic and epigenetic libraries.
- Execute laboratory experiments focused on the isolation and culture of immune cells derived from primary human blood products.
- Prepare and cultivate bacterial stocks for the extraction of recombinant plasmid DNA.
- Conduct intricate laboratory experiments to collect data for an innovative combinatorial screening project.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams across various faculties or schools.
- Stay updated with the latest research and methodologies through ongoing literature reviews; apply findings to the development of new protocols.
- Contribute significantly to the drafting of research papers for publication, particularly in the results section, and present findings at academic conferences.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of scientific principles.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software, databases, and scientific applications.
- Strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment.
- Meticulous record-keeping of experiments and results.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of objects over 40 pounds.

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $71,000 and $88,000 annually. Stanford University provides this range as a good faith estimate of what the university expects to pay for the role, influenced by various factors including responsibilities, candidate qualifications, and departmental budget considerations.
