Position Overview

Salary: $25-$35/Hour

Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist acts as the primary contact for employees, collaborating closely with the HR team to facilitate all aspects of human resources. This position engages with employees throughout the Employee Lifecycle (ELC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for various HR inquiries, including benefits, policies, employee handbook, leave of absence, payroll, and more.
  • Manage weekly payroll processing in ADP and maintain internal audit spreadsheets to ensure accuracy. Verify time and attendance records and address any discrepancies.
  • Facilitate a positive onboarding experience for new hires, from preboarding through orientation.
  • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner in managing various leave of absence and accommodation requests.
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile quarterly reports highlighting trends.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on company-wide projects, including annual performance evaluations, goal setting, bonus notifications, training, and compliance with OFCCP regulations.
  • Assist in the administration of the Employee Referral Program.
  • Act as the primary contact for Workers Compensation and Unemployment matters.
  • Maintain and update electronic employee records.
  • Process changes in employment status, including benefits enrollment, modifications, and terminations.
  • Provide backup support for other HR functions, including front desk coverage.
  • Update and manage the external HR SharePoint site.
  • Stay informed about legal requirements relevant to the HR function.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience with OFCCP compliance is highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions, with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • A proactive learner with a desire to enhance knowledge and skills in HR.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated expertise in advanced functions.
