Position Overview: Head of Human Resources Operations & Total Rewards

The Head of Human Resources Operations and Total Rewards is accountable for spearheading and overseeing a comprehensive suite of employee-centric initiatives and services. This role is pivotal in cultivating and nurturing a high-performance culture within the organization. Key areas of focus include HR Information Systems (HRIS), employee benefits, and compensation strategies.

Compensation: The remuneration for this position ranges from $60,902 to $81,203 annually, with potential for negotiation based on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operational aspects of Human Resources, including compensation structures, benefits administration, and workforce analytics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while enhancing the employee experience.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and actively engage with the HR professional community to promote the adoption of best practices in HR and organizational operations.
  • Ensure that all HR processes are designed and executed in alignment with legal and organizational standards.
  • Oversee the design, management, and continuous assessment of compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent aligned with the organization's mission and culture.
  • Review and approve salary adjustments in accordance with established procedures, providing guidance to management on compensation planning and internal equity considerations.
  • Develop and implement metrics related to employee analytics to inform strategic HR initiatives.
  • Align compensation and total rewards strategies with the organization's mission and resource stewardship.
  • Design incentive programs that drive high performance and reward desired behaviors across various departments.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure competitive compensation and benefits strategies that reflect the organization's total rewards philosophy.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive employee data reports, including compensation and demographic analytics.
  • Manage the retirement, benefits, and compensation communication strategies in partnership with the marketing and communications team.
  • Foster relationships with total rewards vendors and recommend enhancements to the offerings.
  • Optimize HRIS functionalities to meet workforce and compliance needs while promoting automation and efficiency.
  • Lead HR compliance efforts, including audits and documentation, ensuring internal policies support compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • HR certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with experience in HR databases.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and best practices in total rewards administration.
  • Understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and institutional bias.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in analyzing and formulating HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing multiple priorities.
  • A valid driver's license in compliance with organizational standards.
