Compensation:
Annual salary for this position is set at $81,203.
The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on various factors such as departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated range reflects the organization's good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional aspects of Human Resources, encompassing compensation, benefits, and workforce analytics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while enhancing the employee experience. Stay abreast of industry trends and actively engage with the professional HR community to foster best practices.
- Guarantee that HR processes are developed and executed in alignment with all legal and organizational standards.
- Oversee the design, administration, and continuous assessment of compensation and benefits programs to create an attractive employee value proposition that draws in high-caliber talent aligned with the organization's mission and culture.
- Develop metrics for employee analytics to inform program development and strategic priorities.
- Ensure that compensation and total rewards initiatives resonate with the organization's mission, vision, and values while judiciously managing resources.
- Craft bonus strategies tailored to diverse employee populations, incentivizing high performance and rewarding desired behaviors.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure competitive compensation and benefits strategies that align with the overall total rewards philosophy.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive employee data reports, including compensation and demographic analytics.
- Design, manage, and communicate the retirement, benefits, compensation, and rewards strategy in partnership with the marketing and communications team.
- Manage vendor relationships and communications related to total rewards.
- Research and propose enhancements to total reward offerings.
- Optimize HRIS to fulfill workforce and compliance needs while facilitating automation and reducing manual processes.
- Investigate and recommend advancements in HR technology in collaboration with IT and organizational strategy.
- Oversee HR compliance functions, including leading audits, documentation, and testing of key controls, ensuring internal policies support compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Preferred HR certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR-related experience.
- At least 3 years of management experience.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel, with experience in HR databases, preferably iCIMS and ADP.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, practices, and current best practices in total rewards administration.
- Understanding of issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias, and institutional racism.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and staff, embracing diverse lifestyles and cultural practices.
- Experience in analyzing, creating, and evaluating policies and procedures.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A valid NYS driver's license compliant with agency standards.
