Position Summary:

The Shift Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding our culinary team, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating responsibility, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn are essential for success at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of daily operations and peak times in the Manager Logbook.
  • Propose innovative ideas to enhance service quality and overall restaurant efficiency.
  • Conduct training sessions for kitchen staff, covering preparation techniques, cooking methods, health and safety standards, and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our patrons.
  • Address any guest or employee concerns as they arise.
  • Achieve food manager's certification, which will be provided by Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Oversee inventory management of food supplies, restocking as necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and sanitation regulations, as well as safety protocols.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with food safety practices is preferred; eagerness to learn is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while managing them.
  • Proficient in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Educational Background and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods, including 10-hour shifts.
