Job Overview

The role of a Concessions Operations Supervisor involves supporting the site manager in daily production activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and adhere to compliance standards. This position entails overseeing all concession activities and events throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise concession operations effectively.
  • Coordinate the preparation of food items and ensure proper dating of products.
  • Establish staffing requirements for concession events.
  • Ensure food preparation follows established recipes and guidelines.
  • Maintain daily temperature logs for food safety.
  • Conduct quality checks on food items before serving to customers.
  • Notify management and remove any food items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Complete opening and closing operational checklists.
  • Welcome customers and engage with them regarding their service experience, addressing any complaints with a positive demeanor.
  • Supervise the cleanliness of workstations, including floors, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all work areas and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Oversee the proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Facilitate the transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Assist in daily safety inspections and report any hazards to management immediately.
  • Participate in cross-training as needed.
  • Work in various capacities including concessions, catering, and special events.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the assistant food service director on a regular basis.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities as directed by a supervisor or Aramark management team member.
  • Guide and support employees on the line to ensure efficient and timely customer service, requesting assistance for sanitation issues as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Serve Safe Certification is required.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous food service experience is preferred.
  • Frequent lifting and transporting of hot food items is necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heated equipment, steam, loud noises, chemicals, and other potential hazards.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
