Position Summary:

The Culinary Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in guiding our kitchen personnel, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate responsibility, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a readiness to learn and accept guidance, which are essential for success at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and peak service times in the Manager Logbook.
  • Propose enhancements to service quality and overall operational efficiency.
  • Train team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, health and safety protocols, customer engagement strategies, and service excellence.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food is delivered to our patrons.
  • Address any guest or staff concerns as they arise.
  • Achieve food manager certification, which will be provided by Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Oversee inventory management of food supplies, restocking as necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and sanitation standards, as well as safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with food safety protocols is preferred; eagerness to learn is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with team members while managing them.
  • Proficient in safely operating all kitchen equipment.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, including 10-hour shifts.
