Job Overview

As a Concessions Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the site manager with daily operational tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that kitchen functions are efficient and adhere to all compliance standards. This position involves overseeing all concession activities and events throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise concession operations effectively.
  • Coordinate the preparation of food items and ensure proper dating of products.
  • Establish staffing protocols for concession events.
  • Ensure food items are prepared according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate daily temperature logs for food safety.
  • Conduct quality checks by sampling food items before they are served to customers.
  • Notify management and remove any food items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Complete all opening and closing checklists diligently.
  • Welcome customers and provide excellent service as they approach.
  • Gather feedback from customers regarding service quality and address any concerns while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area, including floors, equipment, and storage.
  • Oversee the sanitation of all work areas and serving utensils.
  • Manage waste disposal accurately and responsibly.
  • Facilitate the transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Assist in daily safety inspections and report any hazards to management promptly.
  • Participate in cross-training as needed.
  • Engage in concessions, catering, and special events as required.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the assistant food service director on a regular basis.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks requested by supervisors or members of the management team.
  • Guide and support team members to ensure timely and effective customer service, and request assistance for sanitation issues as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Serve Safe Certification is required.
  • Proficient in following detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous food service experience is preferred.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift and transport hot food items.
  • Capability to work in a kitchen environment, managing exposure to heated equipment, steam, noise, chemicals, and other potential hazards.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
