Job Overview

FirstLight is a prominent telecommunications provider dedicated to innovation and excellence in service delivery. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the execution of intricate telecommunications projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of extensive and sophisticated telecommunication solutions, which involves crafting and sustaining comprehensive project timelines and plans, while comprehending the unique characteristics of each project along with the relevant technical and operational specifications.
  • Act as a reliable collaborator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels to formulate and execute long-term strategic objectives.
  • Manage all client communications or escalations related to the implementation of telecommunication hardware and software services.
  • Provide timely updates on order status to clients through various communication channels.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) regarding customer contracts, possessing a thorough understanding of all contractual aspects, processes, and any specific nuances.
  • Deliver project updates and presentations to clients on a regular basis, tailored to their requirements, through electronic formats or in-person discussions.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure excellent time management.
  • Regularly communicate project status to senior management within the organization.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Oversee the management of 20 to 40 projects concurrently.
  • Administer the Change Order process.

Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications, data centers, and/or IT is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Data, Voice, and Data Center services.
  • Proficient in engaging with both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to deliver results proactively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proven capability to influence and collaborate across various organizational levels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail is crucial; must be self-motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in telecommunications.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
