Job Description

Job Summary

Digital Consultants, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to support the Norfolk Naval Shipyard CIO department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT transformation projects, including task management, coordination, schedule development, risk management, quality management, and performance management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 40 hours per week of project management support.
  • Track project timeline and scope.
  • Coordinate internal resources and ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline AND 5 years of experience as described above; OR nine (9) years of relevant experience as described above.
  • Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) DoD 8570 IAM Level II qualifications.
  • PMP or ITILv3 Intermediate certification required.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing IT transformation projects, including task management and coordination, schedule development and management, risk management, quality management, and performance management reporting.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of the five (5) years of experience previously referenced shall be directly related to the areas of Network Operations (NetOps) C2 requirements, technology assessments, systems design, systems analysis, programmatic support, quality assurance, acquisition planning, or budget planning.
