Job Overview

The Executive Assistant to the President plays a crucial role in providing strategic support to the President of Charter Schools USA. This position involves effectively managing priorities, overseeing projects and timelines, tracking action items, conducting analyses, creating presentations, and serving as a liaison for the President. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of initiative, judgment, and discretion while collaborating with other executives and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates meetings by preparing agendas, attending sessions, documenting action items, and ensuring timely follow-up on behalf of the President.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the organization's strategic initiatives, actively engaging in monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and resolving issues with initiative owners.
  • Collects, analyzes, and organizes information to support executive decision-making processes.
  • Prioritizes the President's schedule to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Drafts memos and communications on behalf of the President to address requests and convey essential information.
  • Manages a complex calendar for the President, frequently adjusting priorities that require independent decision-making.
  • Works autonomously and collaboratively on special projects as requested by the President, acting as a project manager when necessary.
  • Assists in maintaining files, documents, correspondence, budgets, and other corporate directives as needed.
  • Participates in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency related to job responsibilities.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Adheres to federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in complex coordination of activities, management, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information Systems (SIS).
  • Professional demeanor and telephone etiquette are essential.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the organization.
Work Environment

This position is typically performed in an office setting, with usual working conditions.

Physical Demands
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Light physical activity, including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
