About the Role

Foundations for Living is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Recipient Rights and Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the rights of our patients are protected and respected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the hospital's Recipient Rights advisor, receiving and investigating complaints concerning rights violations and reporting results according to state and hospital standards.
  • Coordinate and participate in the Recipient Rights Advisory Committee, working closely with staff to ensure patient rights are upheld.
  • Train and communicate with staff on patient rights, best practices, and collaborate on solutions to address patient grievances and complaints.
  • Serve as the Medical Staff Liaison, coordinating medical provider schedules, meetings, and providing ongoing communication between hospital administration, staff, and medical providers.
  • Coordinate initial requests and ongoing management of medical staff credentialing files and standards.
  • Partner with Risk Management as assigned, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Prepare and maintain hospital reports, reappointments, and committee scheduling and minutes at the direction of the CEO.
  • Participate in hospital committees as assigned, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate degree in business, communications, mental health, or related field required. Bachelor's preferred but not required.
  • Previous Recipient Rights experience preferred, with a strong understanding of patient rights and hospital policies.
  • Excellent computer, web browser, and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to staff and patients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
