Position Overview:
Are you passionate about fostering a welcoming environment for visitors and employees alike? As a key representative of Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc., you will play a vital role in providing essential administrative assistance to the Human Resources department.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role ranges from $15.00 to $17.00.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist all visitors, participants, employees, and community members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel or voicemail, and respond to inquiries.
• Organize and maintain the meeting room calendar for the Employment Center.
• Provide information and address human resources inquiries from all Goodwill employees.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Administer assigned Human Resource tasks effectively.

  3. Professional demeanor and appearance.
  4. Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  6. Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft applications.
  7. Trustworthiness in handling confidential information.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar role.

Physical and Emotional Demands:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Occasional walking, standing, climbing, or balancing required.
  • Regular computer operations and manual dexterity needed.
  • Vision requirements include clear distance vision and peripheral vision.
