Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources Operations is responsible for leading the HR Operations team, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of all administrative functions within Human Resources while ensuring exceptional service and a positive experience for team members. Key responsibilities include overseeing HR Compliance & Regulatory Requirements, HR Service Center, HR Technology, Benefits Administration, Compensation Management, Employee Relations, and Recruiting and Onboarding Support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and guidance for the HR operations team, offering coaching, mentoring, and professional development to enhance capabilities and foster engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine HR processes and workflows to boost efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Implement innovative solutions and best practices to streamline operations.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Develop and enforce policies and procedures that minimize risks and cultivate a culture of compliance.
  • Financial Oversight: Create and manage the HR operations budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and expense control within established financial parameters.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with cross-functional HR teams and other internal departments such as Finance, Legal, and IT to align HR Operations with broader organizational objectives. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required; a Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of HR experience in a leadership role or as a high-level professional contributor is required, with expert knowledge of HR functions, best practices, and legal requirements. Preferred experience includes 4-6 years in a leadership role within an HR Shared Service delivery model.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key external partners.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Experience in budget development and variance reporting.
  • Proven track record in conflict resolution and issue management.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Proficient in PC software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong facilitation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Certifications:
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is also preferred.
